Not everyone you encounter in your life has been contracted by you.  The ones you are contracted with will show up and even that doesn't mean you must follow that path because you still have free will choice.  All who have created contracts on the other side will show up.  You may "know" them whether it be a feeling, or an understanding of this person.  You may not "know" them at all, or even dislike them intensely.  There are so many ways to learn!  Having contracted with someone doesn't necessarily mean you will enjoy the lesson either, you could find yourself miserable and hateful as you "learn."  You may not ever know for sure who you have contracts with and who you do not, but you will probably guess that those you've had the greatest growing experiences with are the ones you chose before coming into body.  Some would call them karmic lessons, or karmic relationships.  But, knowing for sure is not always going to be the case.  Much of this will be more clear in hindsight..
